Derbent Application Hotel

Derbent Hotel is located on the outskirts of Kartepe at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level, which stands between the Bay of Izmit and Lake of Sapanca. Here you can enjoy the warm sunlight in summer and uses the Ski Centre in winter, enabling you experience the beauties of the nature all year round.

Our hotel has a capacity of 40 rooms and 80 beds. Each room has a mini-bar, direct-dial phone, en-suite bathroom, hairdryer and free wireless internet access.

Our hotel offers buffet brunch, a la carte service, cocktail parties and dinner for special occasions in 2 restaurants, one with a capacity of 150 people and the other 250 people. We also organize outdoor wedding receptions for up to 1000 people under the shadow of an historical plane tree, which is 400 years old.

Our hotel has a big hall with a capacity of 300 people, two for 100 people and three for 15 people which are equipped with Activo Smart System and they are all designed to fulfill the needs for meetings, seminars and congresses. In our conference and meeting halls separate projectors, dia, visual and audio systems are available.

Social Facilities on Umuttepe Campus

There are two social facilities for our staff and students on Umuttepe Main Campus of our University. Social facilities for the use of our students covers a closed area of 10.000m2 including club rooms, a unit for poetry activities, Farabi Coordinatorship, a meeting hall (Mor Salon), an exhibition hall, 2 dining halls, 2 cafeterias, stationeries, ATMs and a kitchen covering an area of 800 m². The social facility for our staff covers a closed area of 6861 m2, including a dining hall, an a la carte restaurant. Bus agencies, a supermarket and a bank are also available for our staff and students..

Anıtpark Guesthouse

The guesthouse that can be used by the staff of Kocaeli University and civil servants has a capacity of 30 beds and 23 rooms, and is located in the city centre. Wireless and cable internet services, tea and coffee facilities are provided for our guests. Reception and housekeeping services are also provided.

Kindergarten

Our kindergarten, which is for the children aged 3-6, has 4 classrooms with a capacity of 20 children and 4 teachers. Several activities such as drama, trips, birthday parties, New Year parties etc., are held. Children are provided with breakfast, lunch and snack after noon. Younger kids have a sleep time. .

Student House

In our cafeteria, located on an area of 500 square meters, kinds of salads, grilled food, breakfast and bakery products are sold. It has an indoor capacity of 350 people and an outdoor capacity of 150 people. There is also an Internet cafe, 2 billiards tables, 8 play stations, and 3 chess tables. There is a photocopying machine and study places for our students.
